Field Officer, part-time

Here is your opportunity to join our dynamic Sarina-based field team and play an active role in protecting and restoring our local beaches, waterways and wildlife habitats.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake revegetation activities including site preparation, planting, watering, fertilizing, mulching, installing plant guards
- Undertake weed control activities including manual, mechanical and chemical control
- Provide minor repairs to machinery when needed and, as directed
- Load, unload, move materials and equipment
- Comply with all Codes of Practice and Safe Operating Procedures including actively participating in daily toolbox talks, risk assessments and recording of work undertaken
Skills/abilities:
- Good communication skills and a positive can-do attitude
- Demonstrated experience in natural area restoration, revegetation and weed control and plant identification
- Demonstrated use & maintenance of a variety of hand tools and equipment.
- Certificate 3 in Conservation and Land Management, Horticulture or similar equivalent; or willingness to obtain
- Unrestricted Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Act Commercial Operators License (ACDC) or willingness to obtain
- Current car license (manual preferred)
