Small useful shade tree 6-10m with broad, rounded canopy. Yellow flowers in dense, cylindrical spikes.

Growing Needs & Uses

Tolerates coastal forests, sandy soil, swampy habitats and freshwater streams. Suitable as a screening, accent or filler. 

Traditional / Historical Uses

The wood of this species is used for fuel, posts and poles, small joinery and turned items, and cabinet work.

Natural Habitat

Grows in open eucalypt and/or Melaleuca woodlands, in sandy or rocky soils.
